19/1, 10/1, 28/1: the compound forms of life path 1
Before a total settles on 1, it passes through a bigger number first, usually 10, 19, 28 or 37. Most readings never mention it. Some numerologists do, and write the result as 10/1 or 19/1 to keep a record of the road the number took. The example above is a 19/1: 5 + 7 + 7 = 19, then 10, then 1.
In that tradition, 10/1 is read as the cleanest form of the number, a fresh start with nothing owed. 19/1 is the one that gets talked about, because several modern schools list 19 as a karmic debt number and read it as independence tipping into isolation: the habit of doing everything alone, even when help is on offer.
