Keen is a pay-as-you-go psychic marketplace: you add funds, each advisor sets a per-minute rate, and there is no subscription. The intro offer is cheap, the refund guarantee is paid in credit, not cash, and the optional Seamless Pay can trigger several card charges during one session.

Keen's homepage advertises "5 min for $1" for new customers. One introductory promotion per customer; after the promotional minutes, billing switches to the advisor's normal rate.
Automatic top-up
Called Seamless Pay, and it is opt-in: you choose it when you're asked to add funds. During a session Keen pre-authorises your card for 10 minutes at the advisor's rate, so you can see several charges for one reading. If you don't want that, don't turn it on.
Subscription / fees
None. Keen says it isn't a subscription service and doesn't charge membership fees. Keen Rewards is a free points program.

Refunds: what the rules actually say

  • Satisfaction guarantee: up to $25 in Keen credit (not cash), for a conversation in the past 72 hours, once every 30 days, at Keen's discretion.
  • Readings paid with promotional funds are excluded on the guarantee page, while the promotions page says you may still submit a request: the two pages don't match.
  • Money you deposited but didn't spend can be refunded to your original payment method (5 to 7 business days). Promotional credit is not refundable.

How to stop paying and close your Keen account

  1. Open Keen's support form, choose Account Management, then Close account.
  2. Remaining deposited funds are refunded automatically; promotional credit is voided.
  3. To change a card: Payment Information, then Update my payment methods.
  4. Check your next statement for "INGENIO KEEN.COM" (card) or "Keen" (PayPal).

Someone who wants to try one short reading cheaply, keep Seamless Pay off, and keep any unspent balance refundable.
